Fees
Students must pay all fees in full and in advance.
Students must pay all registration fees for examinations.
Materials
Course books are not included in the course fees. The students are responsible for purchasing their own course books. Students will be informed at the time of booking which course book is required for their course.
Extra material will be provided at times by the school or the teachers.
Class size
Our general language courses will run with a minimum of 4 students. The Language Guru reserve the right to shorten the length of the course should the course run with less than 4 students.
Cancellation
Cancellations must be made in writing.
Cancellation of language courses: If notification of cancellation is received by The Language Guru more than 28 days before the start of the course, The Language Guru will retain a 10% fee. If notification of cancellation is received less than 28 days before the start of the course, no fees can be reimbursed. In the event of a cancellation after the commencement or before the end of the course, no fees can be reimbursed.
Under no circumstances can fees for cancelled courses be transferred to another student.
No fees are refunded in the case of late arrival for a course or for missed classes.
Cancellations of other services:
– private tuition cancellations will require 48 hours
– group classes cancellations will require 48 hours
– workshops cancellations will require 7 days: 7 to 4 days before the workshop, 50% fee and less than 4 days before the workshop, 100% fee
– event cancellations will require 7 days
Private Tuition
Material is provided for all private tuition.
All private tuition is to be booked and paid in advance in blocks of 5 lessons to be used within 6 weeks of first lesson, or 10 lessons to be used within 12 weeks of first lesson.
Block bookings are non-transferable and non- refundable.
Cancellations will require 48 hours’ notice
Insurance and liability
The Language Guru, its associates and representatives are not liable for any loss, damage or injury to persons or property however caused. Students are advised to purchase insurance, including medical insurance and travel insurance, to cover all eventualities.
Attendance
Students will receive a Certificate of Attendance for their course if their attendance meets the minimum requirement of 80%.
Special offers
Special offers and promotions cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.

Gift vouchers
Our gift vouchers start from £10. They are valid for 6 months from the date of issue and are non-refundable.
Vouchers cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer and cannot be exchanged for cash. Vouchers cannot be used for our corporate services.

Promotional materials
From time-to-time we may take photographs or videos for use in our promotional materials or for marketing purposes. You (or your parent/guardian if you are under 18) must inform us in writing if you do not allow us to use such images.
Further conditions
The Language Guru reserves the right to refuse any student suffering from any mental or physical disability that has not been disclosed on the Registration Form.
The Language Guru reserves the right to alter the advertised class timetable and offer classes in alternative premises to those advertised at any time.
The Language Guru reserves the right to alter or cancel the advertised courses without notice and will offer students a full refund or alternative courses at no extra cost.
The Language Guru is not liable for loss of tuition or other services due to factors outside our control. Refunds will not be made under these circumstances.
Contact details and data protection
Students are obliged to give contact details including address, telephone number and email address. These must be correct and up to date.
The information stored by The Language Guru is in accordance with the data protection act. Information may be shared with the British Home Office for visa purposes or accreditation bodies for students joining a English Course.
Discipline
The Language Guru reserves the right to expel any student for behaviour which is unacceptable. In this event, no fees will be refunded.
Any violence, threatening behaviour or abuse from a student will be investigated and may result in the student being permanently excluded from the school.
Any student who physically assaults, or racially or sexually harasses or abuses any other person on the school premises anywhere will be immediately and permanently excluded from the school.
Public / Bank holidays
The school will be closed for the Christmas break as well as some bank holidays. Please contact us for the exact dates.
